Erin grew up in Edina, Minnesota, and received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations from Drake University in DesMoines, Iowa.  Erin's career path turned when she moved home, and her family's logistics business needed help.  She started with Griffin & Company Logistics almost 28 years ago and is currently the company's president.  During Erin's 28 years in the logistics/customs brokerage industry, her leadership and organizational skills have helped her navigate through many difficult times, especially the past few years, especially the pandemic and the tumultuous supply chain/logistics issues.  She is active in her children's schools, volunteering when her schedule allows.

Erin met the McDermott family in the fall of 2019 when her son, Sean, was in class with Bryant.  The two became fast friends, which led to a friendship between the families.  Bryant was one of the kindest, sweetest, and most polite boys she knew.  His smile lit up the room.  Erin will never forget Bryant's love of spicy food, especially when he ate a ghost pepper caramel at her house like it was nothing.   Erin has been married to her husband, Matt, since September 2005; they have two children: Sean and a daughter, Kelly.  Erin loves to exercise, volunteer at the kids' schools, play sports, entertain, cook, travel, and spend time doing anything with her family.  Erin looks forward to being part of an incredible group of people working to keep the memory and dreams of Bryant McDermott alive.
